Previously, Fillmore International reported an 80% increase in U.S. nicotine pouch sales in the first quarter, followed by stock-outs. Zyn nicotine pouches have been a significant source of growth for Fillmore International as cigarette smoking rates in the U.S. have declined.
In an earnings call last month, the company's chief financial officer, Emmanuel Babeau, acknowledged that Zyn's growth has put pressure on the supply chain.
In February, Filmore International reported that it sold nearly 385 million cans of flavored nicotine pouches in the U.S. in 2023, a 62% increase from the previous year.
The company's February earnings report said it expects even better results in 2024, with U.S. shipments reaching about 520 million cans this year.
